Kira Houston is a digital & traditional artist, writer, and advocate. He obtained his BA in 2023 from Clark University, double majoring in Art History and Spanish with a minor in Creative Writing. Kira is now based in Asheville, NC where he works as Outreach Coordinator at Black Mountain College Museum + Arts Center.
Since 2017, Kira has advocated passionately for the transgender community. Kira was previously seasonal staff with the Safe Schools Program for LGBTQ Students, served as an elected member of the Massachusetts Commission on LGBTQ Youth, and has contributed to initiatives at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Boston Children's Hospital, and Harvard University.You can find his work on:
